Christmas was a mixture of things for me this year. The boys (especially William) had so much fun. He was soooooo excited about Santa coming and loved all his new toys. I am so thankful to have them, they are the highlight of my every day. It was also the first Christmas without my Dad, so to say it was bittersweet doesn't even quite cover it for me. I still have many days that I can't really believe he isn't here anymore, it just doesn't seem right or real, just a bad dream. But, I must focus on happy things...
MiMi and Grandad spent Christmas Eve night with us, so they got to see the boys open their toys on Christmas morning. One of the last presents that the boys got to open were two t-shirts....one for William that said "Biggest Big Brother" and one for Charlie that said "Big Brother." Yep. Baby #3 coming July 2010!!!! After a heartbreaking summer and fall, I am so thankful to have something happy to focus on. Nothing is happier than a new baby. Charlie will be 17 months old when this one comes, so I am going to have my hands full for a while! You don't have to look too closely at this picture to see that I'm already showing!
The below picture are the boys' new favorite faces. William always makes this face now when I tell him to smile for a picture. And Charlie....loves to scrunch up his nose when he gets in trouble or laughs. So cute.
To ring in the new year, we spent the weekend in Mt. Ida. It was great for me to get away from the house for a while and for the boys to get to play in the woods. In the horse pasture, there is an old truck that is halfway buried and has been there for a loooooong time. William got a kick out of it.
This was Charlie's first trip to Mt. Ida, so it was also his first time to see the horses. He was curious about them, and wasn't bothered by their sniffing in the least.

Hey Mary! I thought about you and your family over the Holiday season. I'm sure it was a time of mixed emotions for all of you. Also, CONGRATULATIONS on Baby #3! That is so exciting:)!!!
So excited for all 4 of you! I have a feeling that 2010 is going to be a year to remember.... in a lot of very good ways! Think of you guys often. Girl just imagine Christmas 2010! :-)

Oh my goodness!! Another precious McMillan baby to add to the fam! That is so exciting, and I know the baby is bringing so much joy to you :) I've been thinking about you a lot, and I know this new year will be great!
