I think it's pretty well known that I don't get out of the house much. Ever. Except to go to the grocery store and to take and pick up William from school. Between Shep's naps, there just isn't enough time to make loading these precious hooligans in and out of the car worth the trouble. Many Friday nights we try to go out to eat or just get out of here so I can at least maintain a small portion of my sanity and have Daddy's extra set of hands and eyes. Today we took a picnic to Pinnacle to let the boys burn off some energy.

Sweet Baby stuck in the stroller. Again. Since the weather has gotten warmer, he spends large portions of his days here. He's pretty good about it, but tends to get antsy after a while, especially if we aren't moving. He wants (and needs) to be crawling around, but well, we just can't allow that outside just yet. No telling what he would find to put in his mouth, and I'm usually too preoccupied doing something for the older two to keep a close eye on him. So, I suppose he's just going to have to accept this nasty thing as his second home!

I did allow Shep a little break while the other boys were hiking all of 50 feet up the mountain. (Yes, you read right, 50 feet....no one was on their A game today).

I really can't blame them for not making it up the mountain very far. Daddy carried Charlie on his shoulders after the first, oh, 5 feet?? Charlie isn't exactly made of air. I wasn't watching them that closely, but two of the 3 times I turned around, little William fell. (He's always been a tad clumsy). It really was only intended to be a test run, anyway. Not gonna be hiking to the top with either of them any time soon, I'm afraid. :)

I love that these boys are built in play buddies. Really, I do. They entertain each other so much, and William is getting old enough to be able to help Charlie do things when I can't. But, this is what they look like a lot of the time. "Hey, I was here first" followed by Charlie's "Mine!" They truly are sweet brothers, though. Still wouldn't trade 'em for anything. :)
