Somebody call SCAN!

We went to the White River with Ardie and Tattoo this past weekend and had a ball, but I'll have to post that later. We have a more pressing issue at hand....we left a family member there. DOGGY, who is pictured below, has been William's best friend since he was a baby. Doggy is alive, he talks to William, he goes places with us, he is one of the few "baby-ish" things left about William. He serves a multitude of functions around here, and has become a third child to us. William has never slept without Doggy....until last night.

So, let me back track a little. Sunday morning, we are packing up to go home. Both boys were rock-stars all weekend, slept like angels, and minded their p's and q's (as much as a 3 year old can). Daddy William is getting the boys dressed Sunday and Charlie has a blow out diaper. Blow out doesn't really even describe what I walked in on when I came in the room, but there are no other nice words I can use that wouldn't mortify my mother. It was everywhere. Everywhere. Charlie's face, hair, hands, legs, back, feet, you catch my drift....well, hope you didn't, cause it didn't smell nice. It was also all over his pajamas (we had to throw them away it was so bad), all over the bedspread and blanket, not to mention Daddy William. Disgusting. We stripped the bed and left a note on top that it needed to be washed. In all honesty, I really did the next guest a favor because no telling how long it had been since the bedspread was cleaned, but I doubt the cleaning crew carried my sentiments. Halfway home, little William says, "Mommy, did you pack Doggy?" Daddy and I look at each other, with that Oh Sh** look. Surely he's there. We've never come close to leaving Doggy anywhere. Don't panic until we get home. Get home, no Doggy. We call Gaston's...."hey, remember us...the ones whose child poop bombed your cabin, but, would you send us that stuffed animal?"
William thinks Doggy is still at the White River fishing. He even got a phone call from Doggy this morning (aka, Dad at the office) assuring William that he was coming home in a few days. William asked me a little while ago if we had packed Doggy's fishing pole (which does not exist), but I assured him that we had. We think Doggy's en route, but none of us will be at peace until he is back in his rightful place. I've gotta say William has been great without Doggy, but he's been talking about him a LOT. We miss you, Doggy, and hope you come home soon!

Oh my gosh, Mary!!! I know it isn't funny, but I caught myself laughing outloud at the recap of events. I am so sorry!!! I can't even imagine what would happen if we ever lost "Frog"!!! I'm proud of William for being such a trooper! I hope Doggy makes it home safe and sound:)!
