After 3 pretty miserable seasons of soccer, we threw in the towel and tried baseball with William. He was placed on the Royals team, and he loved it! Much more fun for Mom and Dad, and even little brothers, too. In the rookie league, they concentrate on learning the game and on basic skills. The players rotate their field positions to help get a feel for the job of each player. They don't keep score (but the Royals won every game, ahem) and focus on having fun. ;) It was a great season, and I feel quite certain William will be game for playing again next year!
MiMi and Grandad made it to a game. So did Ardie, but she was behind the camera and took most of the pictures of William playing. ;)
Shep and Charlie loved going, too. There is a nasty ol' playground, and plenty of food scraps for Shep to eat off the ground. I'm kidding about the food scraps. Sort of. We learned quickly to take entertainment, a.k.a. snacks, for this food motivated child. ;)
Great season and great fun, Go Royals!! :)
