Summer

Some of my best friends from college hosted a sip and see for Charlie last week.  It was super cute and lots of fun, but I forgot to take pictures until the end of the night!  The other baby, Greenlee Elmore, is about 7 1/2 weeks older than Charlie.  Casey is pregnant with twin boys, Rowe and Ryder....watch out!!!!

I haven't been able to keep William inside the past few weeks.  That's a good thing, except that he goes through a minimum of 3 changes of clothes every day, so my laundry load is huge! Oh...and that I have to pick up dog poop almost every day.  With two larger than life sized dogs, it ain't pretty and is at the top of my "chores I loathe" list.  Anyway, I swear William could play in the dirt or with the water hose for hours and never get bored.  It'll be even better when little brother can join in the fun instead of watching from the glass door.

Mom and Dad got a new dog a few months ago.  Her name is Rella (yes, as in Cinderella, and yes, she was named by one of the granddaughters).  We all lovingly refer to her as the Devil Dog, but she really is sweet.  She's been at our house to spend the night some lately, and we love having her!

4 Months Old/Slip N Slide

I can't believe little Charlie is already 4 months old!!  He had his check up yesterday, and it went great.  He is 1 ft 11 inches tall (or, short I should say since he's in the 10-25th percentile), and he weighed 14 lbs (45th percentile).  He's been reaching for things for a few weeks now, and recently started some cereal.  He's got some stomach issues, but hopefully some new medicine and some changes in Mommy's diet will make it feel better!

I thought that since I won't be able to take William to the pool very much this summer, he at least needs some water toys at home to play with between trips to the lake!  I got him a Slip N Slide yesterday at Target...I swear he has carried that box around EVERYWHERE until we were finally able to break it open at 7:30 this morning.  He didn't quite get the run and jump on the tummy thing, and if we didn't think we'd seriously injure something by showing him ourselves, he might have had better luck.  He thought it was super fun for Dad to push him down the slide, so that's good enough for now.  :)

Fun at the lake

We've spent some time at the lake over the last few weeks....one of our most treasured places to go.  There's almost always a cousin or five to play with while we're there, which makes it all the more fun!  No new pictures of Charlie, I'll have to post some later.  He's doing MUCH better with his sleep, which has made Mom super happy (and probably much happier to be around). He's turned into a smiley and giggly little thing, I could just eat him up.
